Record #88789:

Transient behavior of Ice Stream B and Crary Ice Rise, west Antarctica / Robert A. Bindschadler, Douglas R. MacAyeal, Simon N. Stephenson, P.L. Vornberger, E.P. Roberts.

Title: Transient behavior of Ice Stream B and Crary Ice Rise, west Antarctica / Robert A. Bindschadler, Douglas R. MacAyeal, Simon N. Stephenson, P.L. Vornberger, E.P. Roberts.
Author(s): Bindschadler, Robert A.
MacAyeal, Douglas R.
Stephenson, Simon N.
Vornberger, P. L.
Roberts, E. P.
Date: 1987.
In: Antarctic Journal of the United States. (1987.), Vol. 22(5) (1987)
Abstract: Summarizes recent work in this region, discussing several examples of transient ice flow. Describes occurrence of small crevasse-free areas on ice rise; these are termed rafts. Ice upstream of Crary Ice Rise has slowed and may be increasing back pressure on Ice Stream B, slowing that also.
