Climatic influence on the shape of glaciers in northern Sweden, 1878-1986 / Per Holmlund.
Title: | Climatic influence on the shape of glaciers in northern Sweden, 1878-1986 / Per Holmlund. |
Author(s): | Holmlund, Per. |
Date: | 1987. |
In: | Stockholms Universitet. Naturgeografiska Institutionen. Forskningsrapport. (1987.), Vol. 65 (1987) |
Abstract: | Data from Storglaciären show positive mass balance during late 19th century when balance turned negative. Calculations for Mikkaglaciären suggest that this glacier was in non-steady state in late 19th century and that it would have exceeded its Holocene maximum if climate of that period had persisted longer. |
