| Abstract: | Examines response and usefulness of this device for measuring in-situ load deformation properties of first- and multi-year Arctic sea ice in boreholes in operational conditions. Proposes new procedures which permit systematic comparison of field results with those obtained in laboratory for small samples in uniaxial and confined conditions. |
