Record #88391:

Two types of intraglacial meltwater regime for the Bertil Glacier, Svalbard / V.V. Gokhman.

Title: Two types of intraglacial meltwater regime for the Bertil Glacier, Svalbard / V.V. Gokhman.
Author(s): Gokhman, V. V.
Date: 1987.
Language: Russian transliteration entered into original records using BGN/PCGN 1947 romanisation of Russian; Cyrillic text in MARC 880 field(s) reverse transliterated from this by automated process; BGN/PCGN 1947 text then upgraded to Library of Congress romanisation.
In: Polar Geography and Geology. (1987.), Vol. 11(4) (1987)
Abstract: In 1960s and 1970s, runoff was faster than in 1980s. Volume of this englacial runoff made up of 40% of total runoff, compared with 10-20% for slower type. Suggests cause of these two types, possibly connected with progressive freezing of glacier and changes in hydrothermal regime.
