The stratified nature of drumlins from Victoria Island and southern Ontario, Canada / David R. Sharpe.

Title: The stratified nature of drumlins from Victoria Island and southern Ontario, Canada / David R. Sharpe.
Author(s): Sharpe, David R.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema
In: Drumlin symposium. Proceedings of the Drumlin Symposium/First International Conference on Geomorphology/Manchester/16-18 September 1985. (1987.),
Abstract: Describes and compares sediments and landforms of Peterborough drumlin field, Ontario, with sediments and drumlins in Victoria Island, NWT. Comments on origin of drumlins, suggesting that formation may not be due to moving ice, but may be due to deposition of conformable, non-deformed, stratified sediments in water-eroded cavities beneath ice.
