Record #88316:

A theory of drumlin formation by subglacial sediment deformation / Geoffrey S. Boulton.

Title: A theory of drumlin formation by subglacial sediment deformation / Geoffrey S. Boulton.
Author(s): Boulton, Geoffrey S.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema
In: Drumlin symposium. Proceedings of the Drumlin Symposium/First International Conference on Geomorphology/Manchester/16-18 September 1985. (1987.),
Abstract: Deformation of sediments beneath modern glacier is described and rheology analyzed. Streamlined, drumlin-like bedforms result. Form and internal structure of drumlins produced by modern and Pleistocene glaciers are shown to be compatible with deformation theory.
Notes:

In: Drumlin symposium. Proceedings of the Drumlin Symposium/First International Conference on Geomorphology/Manchester/16-18 September 1985 / John Menzies, J. Rose, eds.

Keywords: 551.332.54 -- Drumlins.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
