Abstract: Extended abstract of paper presented at International Workshop on Late Cenozoic Paleoenvironment and Geology of the Arctic, held in Norway in April 1987. Based on deep-sea drilling records (ODP Leg 104). Sediments show first major expansion of Scandinavian ice sheet occurred about 2.56 Ma. Outlines changes occurring during periods 2.8 to 1.2 Ma, 1.2 to 0.6 Ma, and 0.6 Ma to present.
