Record #88208:

Ice/iceberg drift forecast off Canada's east coast / Mona El-Tahan.

Title: Ice/iceberg drift forecast off Canada's east coast / Mona El-Tahan.
Author(s): El-Tahan, Mona.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: St John's, Newfoundland: Marine Institute
In: Ice Management '87 Symposium and Workshop, Marine Institute, November 24-25, 1987. Proceedings. (1987.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Outlines origin, morphology, drift patterns, and drift limits of sea ice and icebergs. Discusses factors controlling sea-ice and iceberg motion, evaluating their importance and describing different methods used for modelling their effect. Three operational models are presented for prediction of drift of individual icebergs, iceberg ensembles, and sea-ice edge, validating and evaluating each model using tens of field data sets. Includes three published papers as appendix, which is not paginated with rest of volume.
Notes:

In: Ice Management '87 Symposium and Workshop, Marine Institute, November 24-25, 1987. Proceedings. Vol. 1. / A. Kevan Parry, ed.
