Record #88170:
A new technique for studying propagation and scattering for mixed paths with discontinuities / J. Walsh, R. Donnelly.
Title: | A new technique for studying propagation and scattering for mixed paths with discontinuities / J. Walsh, R. Donnelly. |
Author(s): | Walsh, J. Donnelly, R. |
Date: | 1987. |
Publisher: | St John's, Newfoundland: Memorial University of Newfoundland, Centre for Cold Ocean Resources Engineering |
In: | C-Core Publication. (1987.), Vol. 87-32 (1987) |
Abstract: | Interest in this problem was focused on modelling use of high-frequency radar for surface detection of sea-ice hazards. Because these radars rely on surface-wave modes of propagation for over-the-horizon range, vertical electric-dipole transmitter is considered, which also allows comparison with existing work. |
Notes: | C-Core Publication. Vol. 87-32 :[42] leaves (1987). Reprint of Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, Ser. A, Vol. 412, 1987, p. 125-167. |
