Record #88046:

Model simulations of the climatic patterns during the deglaciation of North America / John E. Kutzbach.

Title: Model simulations of the climatic patterns during the deglaciation of North America / John E. Kutzbach.
Author(s): Kutzbach, John E.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: Boulder, CO: Geological Society of America
In: North America and adjacent oceans during the last deglaciation. (1987.),
Abstract: Published as part of the Decade of North American Geology (DNAG) Project. Analyzes results from experiments with general circulation model under past boundary conditions of ice-sheet area and height, albedo, sea level, sea ice, sea-surface temperatures, and solar-radiation distributions. Maps of simulated atmospheric pressure, temperature, precipitation, surface winds, and winds aloft are presented for January and July for 18 ka, 9 ka, and today, and implications for ice-sheet mass balance during deglaciation are discussed.
Notes:

In: North America and adjacent oceans during the last deglaciation / William F. Ruddiman, Herbert E. Wright, Jr, eds.
