Record #86909:

Adfreezing strength of ice to model piles / V.R. Parameswaran.

Title: Adfreezing strength of ice to model piles / V.R. Parameswaran.
Author(s): Parameswaran, V. R.
Date: 1987.
In: Canadian Geotechnical Journal. (1987.), Vol. 24(3) (1987)
Abstract: Results of tests to determine adfreezing strength of freshwater ice to piles having different surface characteristics show that adfreeze strength increases with increase in rate of displacement and loading of pile. Surface coatings such as creosote on wood piles and paint and silicone sealer on metallic piles decrease adfreezing strength of ice.
Notes:
