Record #86555:

Temporal and spatial variations of the snow cover in the Swiss Alps / H. Lang, Mario B. Rohrer.

Title: Temporal and spatial variations of the snow cover in the Swiss Alps / H. Lang, Mario B. Rohrer.
Author(s): Lang, H.
Rohrer, Mario B.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: Wallingford, Oxfordshire: International Association of Hydrological Sciences
In: Large scale effects of seasonal snow cover. Proceedings of an International Symposium held during the XIXth General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 9-22 August 1987. (1987.),
Abstract: Describes variations in snow water equivalent for period 1951-80. Extreme conditions are analyzed in relation to pattern of atmospheric circulation. Results encourage use of available meteorological data for large-scale snow-cover modelling or for prediction of impact that climatic variations may have on occurrence and distribution of Alpine snow cover.
