Record #86377:

Neoglacial glacier variations in northern Iceland: examples from the Eyjafjördur area / Christopher J. Caseldine.

Title: Neoglacial glacier variations in northern Iceland: examples from the Eyjafjördur area / Christopher J. Caseldine.
Author(s): Caseldine, Christopher J.
Date: 1987.
In: Arctic and Alpine Research. (1987.), Vol. 19(3) (1987)
Abstract: Studies on outer moraines show late Little Ice Age (19th century) maximum for all glaciers except one. Retreat followed in three phases: 1896-1908, 1915-1926, and post-1930. Evidence suggests that many glaciers reached position close to Little Ice Age maximum at least once earlier in neoglacial.
