Record #85534:

Impulse radar sounding of fossil ice within the Kuranosuke perennial snow patch, central Japan / Katsuhiro Yamamoto, Minoru Yoshida.

Title: Impulse radar sounding of fossil ice within the Kuranosuke perennial snow patch, central Japan / Katsuhiro Yamamoto, Minoru Yoshida.
Author(s): Yamamoto, Katsuhiro.
Yoshida, Minoru.
Date: 1987.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1987.), Vol. 9 (1987)
Abstract: Impulse radar used to survey internal structure of snow patch. Profiles revealed that thickness of ice was 30 m. Unconformity extended nearly parallel to surface at depth of 2 to 9 m, dividing ice into two parts.
Notes:

Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 9 :218-220 (1987).

Proceedings of the Second Symposium on Remote Sensing in Glaciology held at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, 8-9 and 11-12 September 1986.

Keywords: 53.087.23 -- Remote sensing.
551.32 -- Glaciology.
551.321.61 -- Ice sounding, geophysical methods.
551.578.46 -- Snow cover and snow patches.
551.324.294 -- Glaciers, stagnant and dead ice.
