Record #85238:

Water temperature and heat flux at the base of river ice covers / Philip Marsh, Terry D. Prowse.

Title: Water temperature and heat flux at the base of river ice covers / Philip Marsh, Terry D. Prowse.
Author(s): Marsh, Philip.
Prowse, Terry D.
Date: 1987.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1987.), Vol. 14(1) (1987)
Abstract: Presents information on spatial and temporal variation of water temperature below river ice, to compare different methods of calculating heat flux from water to overlying ice, and to determine magnitude of heat flux during spring breakup. Study carried out in Liard River in vicinity of confluence with Mackenzie River near Fort Simpson, NWT, Canada.
