520 3# ‡aExtends earlier work to include effect of tube geometry so that 10<LH/d<50 and 1<LH/Lc<20. For any given geometry, effect of air-bubbling rate was studied in range of 0<V<5 x 10⁻⁵ m³ s⁻¹. Results indicate that heat-transfer coefficients are reduced by increasing either length-diameter ratio or heated-cooled length ratio. Also show that aerosyphon is more effective than thermosyphon.
