Integral solutions for phase change problems with inner/outer convective heat transfer boundary conditions / H.P. Wang, E.M. Perry.
Title: | Integral solutions for phase change problems with inner/outer convective heat transfer boundary conditions / H.P. Wang, E.M. Perry. |
Author(s): | Wang, H. P. Perry, E. M. |
Date: | 1987. |
Publisher: | New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers |
In: | Proceedings of the 1987 International Symposium on Cold Regions Heat Transfer presented at University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, June 4-6, 1987. (1987.), |
Abstract: | Phase-change problems involving initial superheat and convective heat-transfer boundary conditions often occur in natural phenomena as well as industrial processes, e.g. buildup of ice layer floating over currents, or fluid freeze-off inside pipe. Extends previous work to include convective heat-transfer coefficients on inner and outer surfaces for accommodating internal flows rather than stationary fluid. |
