Abstract: Reports tests using coating materials consisting of modified silicone polymer in which bond angle of water molecule is restricted by added metal ions and modified fluoro-polymer which has greatest degree of water repellancy. Both were effective in reducing snow and ice damage to pantographs and trolley wires.
