Abstract: | Spills were designed to relate spreading behaviour of oil to ice conditions in concentrations from 5 to 9/10, to evaluate fate of oil spilled in leads and brash ice according to processes of evaporation, emulsification, dispersion, and incorporation into or on top of ice, and to identify possible countermeasures for spills on pack ice. |
