| Abstract: | Demonstrates, by comparing Landsat imagery and aircraft altimetry, that apparent topography observed at several scales on Landsat images of large ice masses is real. Antarctic ice sheet and ice caps on Nordaustlandet, Svalbard, were used as examples to illustrate different patterns of ice-surface topography found at these differing spatial scales. |
