Record #84802:

A coupled marine ice-stream/ice-shelf model / Isabelle Muszynski, G.E. Birchfield.

Title: A coupled marine ice-stream/ice-shelf model / Isabelle Muszynski, G.E. Birchfield.
Author(s): Muszynski, Isabelle.
Birchfield, G. E.
Date: 1987.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1987.), Vol. 33(113) (1987)
Abstract: Reviews potential role of marine ice flows in climatological changes, indicating need for modelling studies to evaluate hypotheses. Develops simplified but dynamically consistent model for flow of marine ice stream coupled to free-floating ice shelf. Stresses and velocities are determined explicitly in terms of ice thickness. Profiles of ice thickness are obtained numerically (to be published)
