Record #84564:

Nutrient fluxes during extended blooms of Arctic ice algae / G.F. Cota, and 7 others.

Title: Nutrient fluxes during extended blooms of Arctic ice algae / G.F. Cota, and 7 others.
Author(s): Cota, G. F.
Date: 1987.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1987.), Vol. 92(C2) (1987)
Abstract: Examines relative importance of nutrient sources to growth of ice algae in Barrow Strait. Based mainly on data collected April to mid-June for 1981-84. Shows that nutrient fluxes in water column are, at least, of same order of magnitude as nutrient demand by ice algae, while other sources of supply account for only portion of minimum required nutrient.
