Abstract: Hibler's model of dynamics of sea ice was adapted for Labrador Sea to assess its usefulness. Input data and environmental observations are described, and some selected simulation results are reviewed to show applicability of model. Discusses estimation of geostrophic currents using comparison of simulated with observed ice drift.
