Record #84469:

Finite element method for analysis of frozen earth structures / Sweanum Soo, Robert K. Wen, Orlando B. Andersland.

Title: Finite element method for analysis of frozen earth structures / Sweanum Soo, Robert K. Wen, Orlando B. Andersland.
Author(s): Soo, Sweanum.
Wen, Robert K.
Andersland, Orlando B.
Date: 1987.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1987.), Vol. 13(2) (1987)
Abstract: Weighting functions used to account for difference of creep properties in tension and compression for frozen soil in multiaxial stress state. Bond interface element permitted representation of bond behaviour between soil and reinforcement. Use of both models characterizes structural behaviour of frozen walls supporting open excavation.
Notes:

Cold Regions Science and Technology. Vol. 13(2) :121-129 (1987).

Keywords: 624.139.7 -- Frozen ground as engineering material.
E12 -- Glaciology: frozen ground / snow and ice engineering.
