| Abstract: | Examines large-scale fluctuations of northern hemisphere sea ice, using 25 years of monthly gridded historical data and 30 years of simulated results obtained from dynamic-thermodynamic sea-ice model of Hibler (1979). Use of this time frame permits assessments of systematic errors as well as model sensitivities to types of forcing fluctuations which occur interannually in air-sea-ice system. |
