Record #82527:
A numerical investigation on the riming of ice crystals and snowflakes / J.K. Lew, Roy Martin Rasmussen.
Title: | A numerical investigation on the riming of ice crystals and snowflakes / J.K. Lew, Roy Martin Rasmussen. |
Author(s): | Lew, J. K. Rasmussen, Roy Martin. |
Date: | 1986. |
Publisher: | Boston, MA: American Meteorological Society |
Abstract: | Preprint of paper to be presented at the American Meteorological Society's joint Conference on Radar Meteorology (23rd) and Conference on Cloud Physics. This paper is in volume 2, which contains papers intended for the latter conference. Compares growth of individual ice crystals and ice-crystal aggregates by riming and diffusion, and continues earlier work on role of aggregate riming in precipitation enhancement. |
Notes: | Offprint: Conference on Cloud Physics, September 22-26, 1986, Snowmass, Colorado / American Meteorological Society. |
Keywords: | 551.574.3 -- Condensation, ice particles in clouds. 551.578.4 -- Ice needles, sleet, falling snow and graupel. E9 -- Glaciology: meteorology and climatology. |
Location(s): | SCO: SPRI-PAM: 551.578.4 |
