Abstract: Investigation conducted within scope of research project aimed at evaluation of impact of atmospheric deposition of organic micropollutants on groundwaters in karst region, where accumulated pollutants in snow cover could reach groundwater rapidly. Model substances used were polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (products of combustion) and isomers of hexachlorocyclohexane (pesticide). Less than 3% of input of these chemicals reached groundwaters, instead being adsorbed on top layer of soils.
