| Abstract: | Describes application of lumped, conceptual hydrochemical model to 3.5 km² basin in Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland. Model previously used to simulate changes in stream water quality produced by preferential elution of pollutants from snow at onset of melt in smaller basin in same region. Results from larger basin indicate effects of snowmelt cannot be correctly simulated unless distributed model for snow processes is used. |
