| Abstract: | Concerned with accumulation of pollutants in snowpack and their release in meltwater at base of pack. Main findings are: significant differences in both melt characteristics and snowpack and meltwater chemistry between open and forested sites, high hourly variability in meltwater flow and chemistry associated with rain-on-snow melt events, and importance of rain-water chemistry in rain-on-snow melt events. |
