Record #82320:

Changes in soil temperature caused by infiltration of snowmelt water / M. Taniguchi, I. Kayane.

Title: Changes in soil temperature caused by infiltration of snowmelt water / M. Taniguchi, I. Kayane.
Author(s): Taniguchi, M.
Kayane, I.
Date: 1986.
Publisher: Wallingford, Oxfordshire: International Association of Hydrological Sciences
In: Modelling snowmelt-induced processes. Proceedings of a Symposium held during the 2nd Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences at Budapest, Hungary, July 1986. .... (1986.),
Abstract: In order to clarify effects of infiltrating meltwater on soil temperature, thermal and hydrological conditions during snowmelt season in Nagaoka, Japan, were examined and numerical simulations of soil temperature performed. Soil temperatures at all depths in capillary zone fall in day during snowmelt season, caused by movement of soil water, pushed down by infiltrating meltwater.
