Record #82308:

Bed topography inferred from airborne radio-echo sounding of Columbia Glacier, Alaska / C.S. Brown, L.A. Rasmussen, Mark F. Meier.

Title: Bed topography inferred from airborne radio-echo sounding of Columbia Glacier, Alaska / C.S. Brown, L.A. Rasmussen, Mark F. Meier.
Author(s): Brown, C. S.
Rasmussen, L. A.
Meier, Mark F.
Date: 1986.
Publisher: Washington, DC: US Government Printing Office
In: U.S. Geological Survey professional paper. (1986.), Vol. 1258-G (1986)
Abstract: Seventh in series of papers subtitled "Studies of Columbia Glacier, Alaska", discussing various aspects of retreat of this glacier, which began in 1974. Outlines development of radio echo-sounding methods for temperate glaciers, describes collection and analyses of data for this particular glacier, and explains how bed topography and, hence, ice thickness were deduced from data.
Notes:
