Record #81859:
A laboratory study of flow in an ice-covered sand bed channel / James L. Wuebben.
Title: | A laboratory study of flow in an ice-covered sand bed channel / James L. Wuebben. |
Author(s): | Wuebben, James L. |
Date: | 1986. |
Publisher: | Iowa City, IA: University of Iowa, Institute of Hydraulic Research |
In: | 8th International Symposium on Ice, Iowa City, August 18-22, 1986. (1986.), Vol. 1. |
Abstract: | After uniform equilibrium conditions were established for flow of water with free suface, identical runs were repeated with addition of smooth and rough ice covers. Major variables examined included bed-form height, wavelength, Manning's roughness, and sediment discharge. Application to sediment discharge in ice-covered streams. |
Notes: | In: 8th International Symposium on Ice, Iowa City, August 18-22, 1986. Vol. 1. / International Association For Hydraulic Research. |
