Record #81618:

Rubble-ice resistance for ships moving with creeping speed / T. Kitazawa, R. Ettema.

Title: Rubble-ice resistance for ships moving with creeping speed / T. Kitazawa, R. Ettema.
Author(s): Kitazawa, T.
Ettema, R.
Date: 1986.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the Fifth International Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering (OMAE) Symposium, presented ... Tokyo, Japan, April 13-18, 1986. Vol. 4. (1986.),
Abstract: Aim of study was to formulate relationship for determining resistance likely to be encountered by commercial ship transiting field of floating rubble ice. Relationship used to discuss effects on resistance of parameters such as bow form, friction coefficient between ship hull and rubble ice, and angle of internal resistance of rubble-ice layer.
