Record #80931:

Seismic evidence for a deforming and eroding till beneath an active Antarctic ice stream / D.D. Blankenship, S.T. Rooney, Richard B. Alley, Charles R. Bentley.

Title: Seismic evidence for a deforming and eroding till beneath an active Antarctic ice stream / D.D. Blankenship, S.T. Rooney, Richard B. Alley, Charles R. Bentley.
Author(s): Blankenship, D. D.
Rooney, S. T.
Alley, Richard B.
Bentley, Charles R.
Date: 1986.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1986.), Vol. 67(44) (1986)
Abstract: Abstract of paper presented at AGU Fall Meeting/ASLO Winter Meeting, 1986. Observations suggest position of Ice Stream B is influenced by subjacent sedimentary rocks. Ice stream moves largely through ductile deformation of its till layer, and deformation in till causes erosion of subjacent sedimentary rocks.
Notes:
