| Abstract: | Presents method and results of quantitative analysis of pore ice shear and normal stresses when frozen soil is subjected to triaxial stress conditions. Sheds new light on behaviour mechanism of frozen soil in general, and frozen sand in particular, and permits presentation of results of strain-controlled triaxial tests in terms of effective stresses. |
