Record #80636:

Attempting flow forecasts of the Indus River, Pakistan using remotely sensed snow cover data / M.T.A. Makhdoom, S.I. Solomon.

Title: Attempting flow forecasts of the Indus River, Pakistan using remotely sensed snow cover data / M.T.A. Makhdoom, S.I. Solomon.
Author(s): Makhdoom, M. T. A.
Solomon, S. I.
Date: 1986.
In: Nordic Hydrology. (1986.), Vol. 17(3) (1986)
Abstract: Examination of relationship between snow-covered area in river basin, as imaged by satellites, and corresponding runoff during snowmelt period indicates that usefulness is limited. Emphasizes need to improve collection of remotely sensed data on snow to obtain information on snow density and other auxiliary information.
