Classification of sea ice types with single-band (33.6 GHz) airborne passive microwave imagery / Duane T. Eppler, L. Dennis Farmer, Alan W. Lohanick, Mervyn Hoover.

Title: Classification of sea ice types with single-band (33.6 GHz) airborne passive microwave imagery / Duane T. Eppler, L. Dennis Farmer, Alan W. Lohanick, Mervyn Hoover.
Author(s): Eppler, Duane T.
Farmer, L. Dennis.
Lohanick, Alan W.
Hoover, Mervyn.
Date: 1986.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1986.), Vol. 91(C9) (1986)
Abstract: During March 1983, airborne passive microwave imagery and coincident high-resolution air photographs were obtained of ice along 378 km flight line over Beaufort Sea. Data set obtained was first of this type to lend itself to digital processing techniques of calibration, rectification, enhancement, and classification. Presents and discusses results.
