Record #80276:

Snow melt and surface albedo in the Arctic Basin / David A. Robinson, Gregory R. Scharfen, Mark C. Serreze, Roger G. Barry.

Title: Snow melt and surface albedo in the Arctic Basin / David A. Robinson, Gregory R. Scharfen, Mark C. Serreze, Roger G. Barry.
Author(s): Robinson, David A.
Scharfen, Gregory R.
Serreze, Mark C.
Barry, Roger G.
Date: 1986.
In: Geophysical Research Letters. (1986.), Vol. 13(9) (1986)
Abstract: Satellite imagery used to map changes of surface brightness and texture associated with seasonal progression of snow melt on Arctic pack ice in 1977 and 1979, and, using image processor, surface albedo has been estimated. Discusses results, which suggest significant year-to-year variability in Arctic energy and mass balances.
