Record #80249:

Snowmelt hydrograph separation: chemical and graphical methods compared / S. Woo, N.H. Berg.

Title: Snowmelt hydrograph separation: chemical and graphical methods compared / S. Woo, N.H. Berg.
Author(s): Woo, S.
Berg, N. H.
Date: 1986.
Publisher: Spokane, WA: Western Snow Conference
In: Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1986.), Vol. 54 (1986)
Abstract: Study at small mountain watershed in California identified baseflow component of total snowmelt hydrograph by these two methods. Chemical method based on assumption that chemical concentrations increase as contact time between water and lithosphere increases, while graphical method separates hydrograph components by plotting recession curves. Methodology could be extrapolated to other watersheds.
