Record #80241:

The effect of patch clearcutting on the water balance of a subalpine forest slope / C.A. Troendle, J.R. Meiman.

Title: The effect of patch clearcutting on the water balance of a subalpine forest slope / C.A. Troendle, J.R. Meiman.
Author(s): Troendle, C. A.
Meiman, J. R.
Date: 1986.
Publisher: Spokane, WA: Western Snow Conference
In: Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1986.), Vol. 54 (1986)
Abstract: Describes replicated plot study designed to (1) investigate effect of forest opening on accumulation and melt of snow pack in both opening and surrounding forest, (2) determine if differences in soil moisture recharge between forest and opening resulted from creation of opening, and (3) quantify evaporative components of hydrologic cycle for specific site so that it can be determined how creation of opening affected water balance.
