Abstract: Real-time full-resolution 1 km GOES data is used on interactive centralized storm information service (CSIS) at National Severe Storms Forecast Center (NSSFC) in Kansas City, MO, USA. CSIS processing capabilities have enabled NSSFC hydrologists to develop more diversified products and services to monitor snowpack conditions in addition to expanding areal coverage with more detailed snow-cover maps.
