Record #79615:

Production and transfer of subaerially generated rock debris and resulting landforms on South Georgia: an introductory perspective / John E. Gordon, Richard V. Birnie.

Title: Production and transfer of subaerially generated rock debris and resulting landforms on South Georgia: an introductory perspective / John E. Gordon, Richard V. Birnie.
Author(s): Gordon, John E.
Birnie, Richard V.
Date: 1986.
In: British Antarctic Survey. Bulletin. (1986.), Vol. 72 (1986)
Abstract: Bedrock disintegration active during Holocene, producing copious supply of debris that is main source of rock waste material. Qualitative review of landforms and deposits associated with bedrock weathering, talus, rock glaciers, and supraglacial morainic till leads to development of preliminary investigative framework for more detailed studies, including debris transport model which stresses continuum and co-existance of landforms in space and time.
