Record #79216:
Photogrammetric and satellite mapping of the margin of the inland ice, West Greenland / H.H. Thomsen.
Title: | Photogrammetric and satellite mapping of the margin of the inland ice, West Greenland / H.H. Thomsen. |
Author(s): | Thomsen, H. H. |
Date: | 1986. |
Publisher: | Cambridge: International Glaciological Society |
In: | Annals of Glaciology. (1986.), Vol. 8 (1986) |
Abstract: | Mapping programme established in connection with hydro-power development. Two types of glacier maps produced: detailed photogrammetric maps (scale 1:25 000) which include surface topography such as crevasses, lakes, and moraines, and are based on vertical air photographs, and new type of map (scale 1:1000 000), which shows surface features related to ice and meltwater drainage as well as those related to subglacial topography, and is based on digitally produced Landsat data. |
Notes: | Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 8 :164-167 (1986). |
