Abstract: Describes unusual crevasse at margin of "Dagger" glacier, Ellesmere Island, NWT, Canada. Extends 3 m upwards and 3 m laterally into glacier, forming inverted "V". Such crevasses have not been reported previously from subpolar glaciers. Also describes three fold types in this glacier and discusses causes of formation.
