Abstract: In light of evidence showing increasing levels of toxic substances in northern fish and wildlife, reviews available information on diets of native peoples, residue levels in 'country foods' (i.e. foods obtained by means of hunting and fishing), and potential sources of pollutants. Purpose of study is evaluation of implications of possible exposure of native peoples to contaminants.
