Проявление форм атмосферной циркуляции в свободной атмосфере над Антарктидой

Title: Проявление форм атмосферной циркуляции в свободной атмосфере над Антарктидой
Title, transliterated: Proi︠a︡vlenie form atmosfernoĭ t︠s︡irkuli︠a︡t︠s︡ii v svobodnoĭ atmosfere nad Antarktidoĭ / Ė.P. Lysakov, A.M. Sveshnikov.
Translated title: Manifestation of forms of atmospheric circulation in the free atmosphere above the Antarctic.
Author(s): Lysakov, Ė. P.
Sveshnikov, A. M.
Date: 1985.
Language: Russian.
In: Problemy Arktiki i Antarktiki. (1985.), Vol. 60 (1985)
Abstract: Discusses problems of adaptation of geopotential, temperature, and wind fields at 850, 700, 500 and 300 GPa surfaces with development of different forms of circulation. Investigates nature of manifestation of forms of atmospheric circulation over interior regions of Antarctic, enabling possibility of long-range forecasting based on macro-circulation method. Gives quantitative estimate of interrelation of processes in different layers of atmosphere. Data can be used to develop reliability criteria for weather forecasts as function of circulation norms, time of year, and forecast region. Translation in Problems of the Arctic and the Antarctic, 1989, Vol.60, p.80-89.
