Abstract: Work-in-progress report. Comments on snowfall of pH 3.0, characterized by black appearance and containing pulverized fuel ash and black carbonaceous residue. Transport in association with inversion layer is likely to have been mechanism by which heavily polluted air reached catchment from several hundred kilometres to south.
