| Abstract: | Results of field experiments based on Baffin Island. Videos from several types of radar analyzed. Effects of resolution, frequency and polarization discussed, together with sample images. Some values of normalized radar cross-section given for iceberg, multi- and first-year ice in landfast ice zone. Cross-polarization significantly increases differentiation between multi-year or iceberg ice and first-year ice. |
