Abstract: Translation from Russian of article in Geografiya i Prirodnyye Resursy, 1984, No.4, p.39-43. Most features due to thermal abrasion. During Quaternary, present sea floor was above sea level and was formed of permafrost. Sounding of shelf has revealed thermokarst forms, such as those due to melting of ice wedges.
