Record #75714:

Influence of artificial island side-slopes on ice ride-up and pile-up / G. Hocking, G.G.W. Mustoe, J.R. Williams.

Title: Influence of artificial island side-slopes on ice ride-up and pile-up / G. Hocking, G.G.W. Mustoe, J.R. Williams.
Author(s): Hocking, G.
Mustoe, G. G. W.
Williams, J. R.
Date: 1985.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Civil Engineers
In: Civil Engineering in the Arctic Offshore; proceedings of the Conference Arctic '85 ... San Francisco, California, March 25-27, 1985. (1985.),
Abstract: Numerical simulations of ride-up and pile-up compared with large-scale physical model tests and found to be capable of predicting ice failure mechanisms, extent of ride-up, and waterline buckling instabilities of ice. Aid to evaluation of slope angles and ice protection schemes. Ride-up studies presented for artificial island with stepped-sloped cross-section for ride-up protection.
Notes:
